Welcome to Friendship Friday! Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to share your story with us! Please visit each other as well!
Today is our first edition of FF with a featured blogger! Please welcome our first featured blogger at Friendship Friday: Heather from A Nurse’s Wildflowers
Heather is not only a nurse, but she’s also a homeschooling mom of three…and a LEOW (Law Enforcement Officer’s Wife) too!
At heather’s blog you will find an eclectic mix of posts about things that happen in her life and lessons learned. Some hot topics include: God, Homeschooling, Work, being a mom, LEOW, inching towards self-sustainable living, Asperger’s Syndrome and Auditory Processing Disorder, urban homesteading, etc.
Heather also hosts the weekly blog hop, Homeschool Weekly Moments and Musings. so hop on over to Heather’s blog, take a look around and link up to her blog hop!
I want to also shout out a big THANK YOU to all who made a donation for Rachel’s trip to China. She now has enough money to purchase her plane ticket! She will definitely be teaching English in Dongguan this Summer!

Bethany’s turn at the marble run, featuring Mr. Flynn the cat!
I am so excited that Bethany’s Consolidated Supports and Services Plan is in operation! She now has 22 hours per week of respite and community habilitation hours combined! Compare that to the meager 10 hours of respite per month that we’ve had up until now and it seems like quite a lot!
Of course now that she has been approved for the hours we need to find workers to actually do them! We have recruited her teacher (A) from Flash Club to do about ten hours a week, so we still need to find someone we trust for the other twelve hours.
A went with us to bowling and shopping last night and it was a huge success! Bethany was thrilled when her beloved teacher showed up at the house and was more than happy to hop in her car for the ride to bowling.
A plans on taking Bethany to bowling and Flash Club just about every week. It’s going to be weird for me to have so much free time on my hands! Who knows, maybe I’ll finally find the time to work on the book that I’ve been planning to write for the last thirteen years!
