Shopping for food on Saturdays is a real pain. The stores are crowded. I hate crowds! Crowds overwhelm me and I can’t concentrate on the task at hand. But since my car died a few months ago and we haven’t been able to afford repairing it yet, I guess I will just have to tolerate grocery shopping on Saturdays for the time being!
This past Saturday we had planned on taking Bethany with us then Rebekah also expressed an interest in coming along. That meant that Jerry had to go too. He was not a happy camper…or more accurately, he was not a happy passenger (in the car).
Jeremiah did perk up a little when Bethany wanted to play Hide and Seek! Yes…Bethany plays Hide and Seek in the car. She still thinks that if she can’t see you then you can’t see her either. Take a look at the video below!
Jerry was happy to pick out some goodies at the store!
Jeremiah as well as Rebekah were both very happy when we decided to go to Pizza Hut for dinner! But Bethany was not happy about eating at Pizza Hut. She wanted to go home and eat the cans of organic corn that she had picked out at the store. It took quite a bit of convincing her that she could eat pizza and then eat her corn when we got home. Thankfully, she agreed to get out of the car and sit at the table inside the restaurant. Bethany actually enjoyed herself in Pizza Hut and she behaved beautifully! But you know…she never ate any pizza at all. She only wanted her corn!!

Everyone was in good spirits on the way home. Praise the Lord!! You never know how things will turn out where Bethany is concerned! And she was very happy to finally get to eat her beloved corn at last!

Beautiful family! Sooo funny about the fortune coookie! God blesssss!
Thanks, Jenny! It really was a funny fortune to get!
It’s so good to see how the kids interact with each other! Great brotherly and sisterly love. Tell Bethany that I like corn better than pizza, too! A double happy face for Bethany!
Tell Bethany that Joy says, “I like you!”
Sounds like a fun day over all
and thanks for sharing the videos with us and all the pictures. They were fun to see. : )
We really did have a drama free fun outing!
Those pictures in the car cracked me up! You gotta do what you gotta do. Glad there were smiles in the end.
I was glad too, Gillian! It could have been so much worse!
Thanks for sharing this glimpse into your life and the grace with which you live it! And thanks for linking this post up with me this week.
