In Memory of Peyton Elisabeth Fontenot May15, 2006- May 4, 2013

Another precious special needs little one has gone to be with Jesus. Please pray for the wonderful and loving family that she has left behind.

I first became acquainted with Sarah, Peyton’s mother through her Thankful Thursday blog link up. It wasn’t long before I realized that she was also a fellow special needs mom.

I began keeping in touch and checking in to see how Peyton was doing. It wasn’t long before I fell in love with the beautiful, precious, and fragile little Peyton.

Peyton had a severe, involved, complicated, and mysterious medical history. She was in a tremendous amount of pain.

She is with Jesus now. She’s no longer in pain, or sick or disabled! She is free! She is happy! She is in heaven!

I never had the privilege of meeting Peyton in person, but I sure am looking forward to meeting her in heaven!

Peyton, have fun dancing, running, jumping, singing, and being with Jesus!

    1. Thank you, Mary. I was hoping and praying for a miracle, but God answered with a different kind of miracle than the one I had in mind!

  1. 🙁 I actually heard of this sad news on Instagram! I sat there with my phone and squalled. I met Sarah through a sponsor swap and then began following Peyton’s story. My heart breaks for this family and at the same time I know Sarah is happy that she is playing with Jesus and will never have to feel that pain again.

Being a fellow SC blogger, I want to just drive to Sarah tomorrow and hug her.
I do not know what I would do if this were reversed. She is such a strong and inspirational mother. <3

  2. This is a sweet tribute. I think the blogging world really allows us to suffer with those who are suffering and rejoice with those who rejoice even though they live many miles away.

  3. Oh, I’m in tears! I’ve been praying for this family and will pray that the Lord’s comfort touch their hearts during this time of such aching sorrow. Thank you for sharing the information so we can support Sarah and her family in their grief.

  4. It breaks my heart to hear this news but I know this sweet angel is happy in heaven and her family will miss her terribly but hopefully will be comforted by their faith. Such a wonderful tribute to such a special child. xoxo
