My Autistic Brain Tumor Survivor

We Met Cully Gage and Family in Person!!

Some of you may remember a few past posts of mine asking you to pray for the sweet little cutie, Cully Gage! Last summer he was diagnosed with autism and a catastrophic form of epilepsy known as Infantile Spasms. The kind of seizures he was experiencing if left uncontrolled can cause serious brain damage. After some life threatening side effects from the treatment and a few weeks spent in the hospital recovering, his seizures finally stopped and he hasn’t had another one of that kind since then!

Yesterday we had the awesome privilege of meeting Cully in person,  along with his mom and dad and his brothers Sawyer and Doug as they were traveling through NY!  Cully is as sweet and cute in person as he is in his videos. So are Sawyer and Doug.  In fact,  the whole family is sweet and awesome and I am so thankful for being able to meet up with them. When we got together it was like we already knew them.

We spent a fun filled afternoon riding the carousel (Bethany rode it at least 20 times!) and talking at C. Fred Johnson Park in Johnson City, NY. The boys also enjoyed cooling off at the sprayground there!

I could have easily spent many more hours talking and enjoying the company of this great family. But as the saying goes, “All good things must comer to an end”. I’m sure we’ll meet again someday, though!
