Wordless Wednesday: Hard at Work

I would like to take a minute to remember the World Trade Center attack and all the brave Americans who gave their lives on that fateful day twelve years ago. If you wish, you can read my post, Remembering 9/11 published last year. My oldest son was just across the river when it happened. If he hadn’t decided to play hookey from work that day he might not be here today!

Bethany hard at work on her “modified” apple math activity from Cassie at 3dinosaurs.com.  Rather than have her draw the apples, I printed and cut out small apples for her to paste on.

Jeremiah hard at work doing Saxon Math 76. He’s in grade 6/7 now and this is his first year using a text book for math. He is not at all sure he likes copying problems into a notebook. But it’s time…

Rebekah just received her GED in the mail yesterday!  She is now officially a high school graduate one year earlier than expected.  We had heard that NYS was going to start charging about $50.00 for the test in 2014 so we decided to have her just go ahead and try to pass it before that happened!  Even though she was positive that she failed the math section,  She did not fail it.  In fact she passed each section with scores above and beyond the minimum needed to pass.  We are so very proud of her!
