Aid for Autistic Children Foundation helps families affected by autism with debt relief and budgeting strategies. This organization believes that if financial disadvantage is taken away from families living with autism, many more autistic children will reach their potential due to the change in their environment.
I know many people are criticizing Autism Speaks, but I personally feel that there is nothing wrong with taking advantage of any resource that might benefit our children with autism and improve their quality of life. I believe I would be remiss if I didn’t include every source (that I know of) of assistance available to families affected by autism, so go ahead and check out their financial aide grants and college scholarship funds available on their website.
And last but not least, try contacting your local autism support groups, local chapters of autism help organizations, local disability agencies, the Rotary Club, and even government agencies!
