I’m so excited about the sweet, little junk journal I just created and listed for sale in my Etsy Shop, CraftyOldLady59 and I wanted to share it with you all here!
It’s a pretty little blue and green botanical junk journal!
I’m excited because there are quite a few components to this journal that I’ve never attempted to create before!
The wrap around cover is a new design for me and I’m quite pleased with how it turned out!
Another new aspect of this journal are the old book pages being used as actual pages in the book!
And for the first time ever, I’ve included one of my maple leaf eco-prints as a page in this adorable new junk journal!
Measuring in at just 4 by 6 inches, This lovely botanical junk journal is a pretty small journal, but it’s not quite as tiny as my mini junk journals!
Between the handcrafted cover, this journal has 48 gorgeous pages, 1 frankentag, several pockets, tuck spots, a corner flip, a fabric flip, plenty of journaling cards and other assorted ephemera!
The cover was created using a small manila mailing envelope covered with off white adhesive linen type fabric sewn onto pretty blue/green scrapbook paper.
Cover collage is a dandelion stamped piece of coffee dyed paper over cheese cloth and topped with two buttons!
The journal closure is a single strand of blue raffia with a white wooden bead and wraps around the journal to hold it closed.
The 1/2 inch spine sports a blue handmade embroidery floss tassel, a tree charm and a “Made with Love” charm.
Pages include gorgeous, blue, green and yellow scrapbook papers, coffee dyed ledger, graph and copy papers, and pages from botanical identification books.
Most of the journaling cards are designed using vintage illustrations from “Fragmenta Botanica”.
Tickets, game cards, and a dandelion from my own Botanical Watercolors Collection complete the ephemera pack.
This little journal is just waiting to find a new owner who will love it and put it to good use!
