Craft Stick Fun An Occupational Therapy Book Review

Craft Stick Fun, an occupational therapy book from Your Therapy Source: another cool, creative way to present occupational therapy activities to special needs children!

I’ve mentioned before how much I love  “Your Therapy Source”   products. They just have such great affordable occupational therapy products available with just a click and a download! You don’t have to wait for your order to be shipped! Once you pay for your order an email with a link to download it is sent to you. Who doesn’t love instant gratification!! Of course because they’re downloaded onto your computer you can print the pages out as many times as you want!

Many of Your Therapy Source products also have free downloadable samples as well. I love free samples because you get to try out the product to see if it’s really what you’re looking for without having to buy it first!

Your Therapy Source products are great for homeschoolers! You don’t have to be an Occupational Therapist to understand how to use their products. They’re simple enough for me to understand and Bethany loves them.

Today I’m going to review, “Craft Stick Fun”. According to their website, the activities in this book encourage math skills, visual motor skills, fine motor skills, and figure ground skills. If you are like me you might be wondering just what figure ground skills are. According to Mrs. Pratt OTR/L these are the skills needed to perceive and locate a form or object within a busy field without getting confused by the background or surrounding images. Individuals with poor figure ground skills become easily confused with a busy background or too much print on the page. They may also have difficulty scanning a page while looking for specific information.

The fun activities in this book will have your child practicing counting,  addition, subtraction, matching, and sorting skills. They will also exercise their visual memory skills. There are seven pages of craft stick math boards and cards, twelve craft stick picture boards and thirteen craft stick pattern pages.

“Craft Stick Fun” can be downloaded for $5.99. (Craft sticks not included) In my opinion the benefits gained from using this product make it well worth the small investment!

P.S. This is my first visit to your blog and I must say, I get the feeling you are Wonder Woman in disguise! God bless you and yours!

    1. Thanks for visiting, Sherri. I can assure you that I am not Wonder woman. I am ashamed to say that I got very annoyed with my daughter just this afternoon.
