I am thankful that I (we) can be filled to overflowing with hope!
Romans 15:13- (NIV)-May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13- (Amplified Bible) “May the God of your hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing [through the experience of your faith] that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound and be overflowing (bubbling over) with hope.”

Sometimes it seems to me that my “hope” well is running dry.
I often feel as if certain situations in my life are hopeless.
Ever since I broke my shoulder last May, I have been feeling hopeless, helpless, sad and depressed most of the time!
I struggle with anxiety and worry over my daughter, Bethany’s future.
I worry that my ability to take care of her at home is quickly coming to an end.
I fear bad things might happen to her when she is no longer under my protection.
What if someday the emergency medication we give her to stop seizure clusters stops working?
What if someday a seizure kills her?
I want to be bubbling over with hope, like it says is possible in the verse above, but honestly, I haven’t been able to muster up much hope, joy or peace lately.
Yet God’s word tells me that I CAN be filled with hope, joy, and peace.
I CAN bubble over with hope, but ONLY if I trust in Him!
Apparently, it really is possible to be filled with hope, joy and peace even in the midst of seizure chaos and worry over an uncertain future!
I just have to remember to trust God in all situations.
Really, when it comes right down to it, hope and trust in God is all I’ve got!
I have no choice but to hope in God- because what happens in the future is totally out of my control.
And even if all my fears came true, I still have the hope of heaven!!!
I have the hope that someday in heaven, Bethany will not have seizures or suffer any longer!!!
Thank you, God that YOU are my hope!
Help me to walk in the hope and faith that I have in You at ALL times, in All situations.
Romans 5:1-2 (NLT) “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.”
Romans 5:3-5 (NIV) We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, HOPE. and hope does not disappoint us, because God has poured out His love in our hearts by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.”
