Malcolm, the girls and I decided to travel thirty minutes to one of our nearest towns so we could check out the new pet store.
We had a blast looking at the fish, birds, and reptiles!
When we take Bethany shopping we can’t really plan on concentrating on anything other than keeping an eye on her, though.
If she spots something that strikes her fancy, she’ll make a beeline for it without making a sound!
She could easily get lost and just thinking about that terrifies me!
Thankfully, this shopping trip was pretty much uneventful other than Bethany wanting to visit the little girls room every five minutes.
She had gotten her period again after enjoying a six month Depakote induced menses hiatus.
I was enjoying that hiatus just as much as she was!
I think she is going to make the Kotex company gazillionaires many times over because spotting the tiniest speck of blood on them sends her into an OCD pad changing frenzy.
And unfortunately for me, Bethany needs my assistance every single time!
Oh well, I told my husband the other day that I never thought I’d be getting my period for the rest of my life by experiencing it vicariously through Bethany!!!
Too much information? Probably so but that’s just what real life is like with a special needs teen girl!!
