It was on November 1, 2000 that Bethany was diagnosed with a very large and life threatening brain tumor
Bright and early the very next morning she underwent surgery to remove it.
So, Nov. 2 is the day that we consider to be the anniversary of Bethany being cured of brain cancer!
We are so grateful that God preserved Bethany’s life throughout her whole tortuous ordeal, which you can read more about at Brain Tumor Diagnosis if you’d like all the gory details!
And speaking of God, I just want to say that…
I am a follower of Jesus.
I believe Jesus died on the cross to save us from our sins.
I believe in heaven where there is no more pain or sadness.
Believing this gives me hope and keeps me going when life gets crappy.
I wouldn’t be able to carry on with this life if I didn’t have the hope that there is something better than this present life!
Honestly, I don’t understand why anyone would not want to believe in Jesus!!
Why would anyone not want to believe that someone loved them enough to die for them?
Why would anyone not want to believe in a glorious future home in heaven where there is no more sickness, disability, or tears?
I’m not a expert on religions, but I don’t think there is any other religion where you don’t have to work for your salvation or where the leader loved us so much that he or she died to save us!
It just does not make sense to me not to believe in Jesus!
I, for one, am looking forward to seeing Bethany in heaven someday, where she will have a sound mind and a healthy body!
It is there that I will finally get to see who she really is!!
